Adding extra crankcase ventilation to a 4-stroke moped is often done to solve specific problems or improve performance, especially for modified engines. Here are some possible reasons:

Reduction of pressure buildup: In engines tuned for more power, crankcase pressure can increase due to higher compression and gas leakage past the piston rings. Extra ventilation helps relieve this pressure more effectively.

Improvement in oil loss control: Higher pressure in the crankcase can cause oil to leak through seals and gaskets. Better ventilation can prevent this.

Heat regulation: By venting excess gases and vapors faster, the oil is less likely to overheat, enhancing its lifespan and performance.
