Availability of Honda CB50 Parts

Looking for Honda CB50 parts? Then you’ve come to the right place at 4stroke-parts.com! We have most standard new CB50j parts in stock and also offer a wide range of second-hand parts. We can assist you with any questions or requests! The Honda CB50j was never officially sold in the Netherlands but was widely available in surrounding countries like Germany. It is the smallest Honda in the CB series, with the largest being a six-cylinder model! Over the years, different CB models were released in various countries, each with some differences. Read more about them below!

Wear-sensitive Honda CB50 Parts

Like any vehicle, the Honda CB50 has parts that wear out over time. Tires, brake shoes, battery, contact points, and the capacitor are standard wear parts for a 6-volt moped. Additionally, the CB50 has a mechanical disc brake, for which parts are either no longer available or hard to find. Since the CB50 has a vertical cylinder, its cam chain guides can wear out. A great upgrade for the CB50 is replacing the breaker point ignition with a 12-volt CDI set! This advanced ignition system is more stable, maintenance-free, and provides better lighting output.

Honda CB50 Models

Honda CB50K1

The CB50 can be categorized into two types: CB50K1 and CB50 (J, JX, F, S). The CB50K1 features an SS50-style tank, chrome fenders, a 5-speed gearbox, and clutch on the transmission! Unlike later CB50 models, it doesn’t have a disc brake. This model was only sold in Japan and as a general export, meaning there were no country-specific versions like the later CB50J. When the CB50JX was introduced in 1973, the (Benly) CB50K1 was updated with a new saddle and tank. Below, you can see the 1971 and 1973 models.

Honda CB50J

This is the updated version of the CB50K1. It features a different tank, seat, more plastic components, and a standard disc brake. It also has a 4-speed transmission. In Germany, it was sold as a motorcycle and a moped. Due to German regulations, this moped was originally restricted to 40 km/h, meaning it has a restricted ignition, intake, and exhaust system. Compared to the Japanese CB50JX, it has a different cylinder head, camshaft, and carburetor. It was originally available in three colors: Green, Orange, and Blue.

Honda CB50Jx

The Japanese version of the CB50J features a 5-speed gearbox, a sporty seat with a rear cowl, and different lighting compared to the CB50J. It also came in different colors than the European CB50J. When the CB50JX was released in Japan in 1973, it had a disc brake, over 6 hp, and a 5-speed transmission, making it a fast moped!

Honda CB50s

After 1980, the CB50JX was updated to the CB50S. Essentially the same moped, but now with a hydraulic disc brake, a slightly different seat, new instruments, and updated lighting. It was available in different colors, such as black. This model was exclusive to Japan and was not country-specific.

Honda CB50f

This moped was primarily sold in Belgium and closely resembles the CB50J. However, it has several Japanese parts from the CB50JX series! Differences include the seat and intake system. It was also sold in England with slight variations, such as different instrument clusters.
