Wear-sensitive parts Honda Novio and Amigo

The Honda Novio and Amigo are not known for their speed. The push rod 4-stroke engine provides little powr and the top speed is not high compared to the later models such as the SS50 with overhead camshaft. The Amigo and Novio both suffer from bad rear axles. We often hear about this problem when customers refurbish a PF50 Novio or Amigo.

The Dutch Honda Novio & Amigo

The Honda Novio and Honda Amigo are both the same moped, except for the location of the tank. The Honda Novio has the tank on the frame tube while the Honda Amigo has it under the luggage carrier! Some different models were delivered between 1971 and 1977. The Honda Novio PF50 Amigo (without shock absorbers), the PF50R Amigo (with shock absorbers), PF50 Novio (without shock absorbers) and PF50 Novio (with shock absorbers) Some have shock absorbers but there are also models without shock absorbers! Both mopeds are made in Aalst, Belgium. Honda has made these two mopeds specifically for the European market. From Japan, the Japanese saw that the European lifestyle and how people used a moped as a replacement for the bicycle instead of the car. The name comes from Spanish. Amigo which means "friend" and Novio which means "boyfriend".
The Honda Novio and Amigo  are both from the "Little Honda" model range. In addition to the Novio and Amigo, this includes the PS50, PC50 and P50. The P50 has the engine in the rear wheel! Knowing more? have a look here.
The Honda Novio was also delivered in Japan. In 1973 and 1974 Novio came on the market in a two-stroke version. This two-stroke version was also delivered in the Netherlands. The parts for this moped match in many cases! But we as a 4-stroke specialist cannot help you with any engine parts for the 2-stroke version.*
